Track every token and dollar by model and by day, set a spend budget with proactive warnings, and apply built-in tips to cut costs.
Usage & spending
Opening it#
Click Usage in the sidebar, press ⌘U, or click a budget warning bar. Usage records are written automatically at the end of every agent run.
Time ranges & totals#
Switch between This day, This week, This month, and All time. The sidebar always shows your all-time spend; the main area summarizes the selected range with three stat cards:

| Total tokens | Input + output + cache tokens across the period. |
| Total cost | Dollar cost across the period. |
| Runs | Number of agent runs in the period. |
Per-model breakdowns#
A horizontal bar chart ranks models by token use, and a Daily tokens by modelchart stacks each day's usage with a legend and hover tooltips. The By model table lists runs, tokens, output, and cost per model.
Spend budget#
Set a dollar budget and a period (/day, /week, or /month). NeuralCode then warns you proactively with a bar across the top of the window:

| At 100%+ | Red, pulsing — “Over budget”. |
Set the budget to 0 to disable warnings entirely.
Optimize your spend#
The screen ends with one-click cost tips — clear context between unrelated tasks, compact long context, switch to a cheaper model for routine work, or lower extended thinking.
